The Persistent Health Effect of Defoliating Vietnam
In 1961-1971, the US military dropped 19.5 million gallons of herbicides on South Vietnam, Cambodia, and Laos. Nguyen Dinh Tuan Vuong’s lecture will discuss how five decades later, the effects of these spray missions are still felt. Nguyen Dinh Tuan Vuong focuses on the disability prevalence within areas of previous spray missions and the challenges that come with this research.
