WISLI 2026 Reel Submissions Are Open!

Calling all WISLI 2026 students! We invite you to submit a short video or reel (30–60 seconds long), showcasing your experience in the program. Your video will help future students see what makes WISLI such a meaningful place to study language and culture.

Extra credit may be available. Please check with your teacher first to confirm whether your submission qualifies. To receive credit, upload a screenshot of your video submission confirmation page to Canvas.

Learners at all levels are encouraged to participate! The submission form includes information about how submitted videos may be used.

  • Keep it short and focused (30–60 seconds)
  • Use vertical format, ideal for social media
  • Face a window or light source rather than having it behind you — natural daylight works great
  • Frame yourself from about the chest up, with a little room above your head
  • Feel free to do a couple of takes and send your favorite
  • Use an .mp4 or .mov file type
  • Speak clearly and include English subtitles if your video includes a language other than English.
  • Be creative and authentic!

We can’t wait to see your creativity!
