A FREE online workshop: October 18-20, 2024.
This workshop invites language experts across the US to share evidence-based insights on how to help recruit and sustain enrollments in critical less commonly taught languages (LCTLs) at Hispanic-Serving Institutions (HSIs), with presentations expanding to LCTLs at other institutions. Invited presenters will provide strategies for student recruitment, retention, and success, and discuss ways in which they have integrated AI and other platforms into their classes.
During registration, attendees will select panels in which they would like to participate. They may attend any combination of these sessions:
- HSI missions, Friday October 18, 2 – 4:30 pm Arizona/PDT
- General trends in enrollment and recruitment, Saturday October 19, 9 – 11:05 am Arizona/PDT
- Student retention, Saturday October 19, 11:30 – 2:00 pm Arizona/PDT
- Technology and AI in pedagogies of LCTLs, Sunday October 20, 9 – 11:30 am Arizona/PD
See the event page for times where you are, and the speakers, abstracts, and biographical statements.
